Financial Planning for Families of People with Disabilities

Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning For Families of People with Disabilities The Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation and Inclusion Saskatchewan (formerly the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living) are delivering a free presentation regarding estate and financial planning for families of people with disabilities at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, SK. Jocelyne Hamoline will present a shortened version of the “Are Your Affairs in Order?” and Connie Andersen from Inclusion Saskatchewan will present on “Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning for Families of People with Disabilities.” This 2-hour session will help families and guardians make a person-centred plan for the son or daughter who experiences disability, create a circle of support, provide tools to help get finances organized, and information on testamentary trusts for future care.  Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Road Map to the Future: A Financial Planning Guide for Families of People with Disabilities.   * Transitions - Have you gone through the painful experience of divorce and/or separation?  Do you feel alone, discouraged or hopeless? We can help! Beginning Tuesday, January 29, 2019 the Diocese of Saskatoon is again offering an 11-week program that will support you as you heal and rebuild your life. Transitions meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Catholic Pastoral Centre (second floor of the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon). The evenings are led by those who have already journeyed through what you are going through and have found some healing.  It is their wish that they pass on their experience, strength and hope of getting through the pain of divorce. Morning Bible Study begins September 6th. This group meets each Wednesday morning at 9:30. Newcomers are welcome. 

The Seniors' Friendship Club meets each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Welcoming Area. This is an opportunity to come out and join in an afternoon of fellowship, cards, etc, food, and fun. Everyone is welcome. The club's first meeting will be September 13th.
